Igbos Have Built Enough Relationship With OthersTo Merit An Opportunity To Lead Nigeria-Obinna Nwosu

Reactions keep trailing the adoption of Senator God'swill Akpabio by the All Progressive Congress (APC) as their preferred candidate for the office of the Senate President, bearing in mind that there are some South-East APC Senators who are also in the race to become the next Senate President. David Umahi of Ebonyi revealed yesterday that he decided to step down for Akpabio after Tinubu told him he made some commitments before the election, hence, he dropped his Senate Presidency bid and drummed support for Akpabio.

Obinna Nwosu has said that some people are hiding under the disguise that the South-East is yet to "build bridges" (healthy relationship with other regions) to oppose the region from producing the next President. He stated that the Igbos have built enough relationship to merit an opportunity to also lead Nigeria.

In his words, he said:

"Some hide behind the “build bridges” mantra to disguise their opposition for the south east producing a president. Igbos have built enough bridges to merit an opportunity to also lead Nigeria"

This has been the major issue as some South-East leaders have said that the South-East region is yet to align with other regions, and that if they don't do that, producing a President of Southeast extraction might be a herculean task.

Do you agree with Obinna Nwosu that the South-East has a good relationship with others which should make the region merit an opportunity to lead Nigeria?
