Sequel to the messages circulating on the social media, which directed Nigerians who are interested in applying for the Special Public Works, recruitment of 774,000 personnel across the country, to go to the NDE offices in their state to do their registration, the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, while speaking on Saturday, has urged Nigerians to disregard such messages.
The Minister, said that going to NDE offices, will breach COVID-19 guidelines and it will not ensure he strictly achieve the 1000 per LGA.
Keyamo made this known, on Saturday, in a Tweet. He said:
"Kindly disregard all messages directing people to go to NDE offices to register for the Special Public Works. This will breach COVID-19 guidelines and it will not ensure we strictly achieve the 1000 per LGA. The selection will be done from LGA to LGA, not in States’ NDE offices"
Recall that the Federal Government had kicked off the recruitment of interested Nigerians for the Special Public Works, which is aimed at giving temporary employment to 774,000 Nigerians, at 1,000 per local government, for three months (October-December), with N20,000 stipends for each month.
Do you think this is what Nigerian youths needs at this time ?
