Reno Omokri, a former aide to Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the recent visit made by President Muhammadu Buhari, to Maiduguri.

The President on Thursday, 17th June 2021, visited the men of the Nigerian Army in their camp, in Hadin Kai.

While reacting, Reno Omokri stated via a post on his Facebook page, that he commends President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that it was a good move and a strategic gesture.

Reno Omokri went further to praise the President's commitments to service, citing the recent delivery of the Lagos-Ibadan railway as praiseworthy.

Reno Omokri also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari did well by granting the legislature and judiciary, financial autonomy.

Reno Omokri however urged Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that in the remaining 2 years left of his administration, at least one of the two arms of government, should be headed by a southerner. In the same vein, he urged Muhammadu Buhari to visit the southeast as a way of reassuring the people in the region of his commitment to their well-being.

While summarising, Reno Omokri said he wants President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed, and that if he does, he will commend him. Otherwise, he will oppose him.

I must commend Reno Omokri for his honesty in saying these words. Given his antecedents as a critic of the Muhammadu Buhari administration, these words of commendations for the President as truly worthy of note.

This is a clear definition of Politics without bitterness. It is also a clear indication that President Muhammadu Buhari is effectively delivering on his promises to make Nigeria better.
