2023: Nnamdi Kanu will 'push' the Igbo President to proclaim Biafra - Dokpesi

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has revealed how his struggle for Biafra has impacted the southeast's chances of delivering a Nigerian president.

Some Nigerians fear Kanu will compel a Nigerian president of Igbo descent to proclaim Biafra, according to Dokpesi.

He predicted that the IPOB leader will employ violent tactics to blackmail and force an Igbo president to declare South East independence.

He emphasized that Kanu and IPOB had hampered the Southeast's push for a Nigerian president.

Dokpesi emphasized his conviction in a united and indivisible Nigeria in a statement released on Monday.

"The advent of IPOB and its impact across the South East has complicated and hindered the campaign for patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction to lead this nation in the 2023 election," the statement says in part.

If no one has told Ohaneze Ndigbo, some other regions are concerned that if Nnamdi Kanu plays the role of Aguiyi Ironsi in leading a militant revolt against constitutional government in the southeast under an Igbo presidency, the president will be pressured by his base to facilitate UN processes for the South East to declare independence from Nigeria.

“Thus, while Nigeria remains under threat from IPOB's separatist efforts, an Igbo President may be compromised in maintaining Nigeria's political and territorial boundaries.”

Kanu had led the struggle for Biafra's actualization prior to his incarceration.

Kanu was advocating for the actualization of Biafra while in the United Kingdom, UK, by engaging as many people as he could around the world. He emphasized the use of Twitter and Radio Biafra in broadcasting Biafra messages throughout Nigeria and the world.
