Jail Term: Retired Diplomat, Jibrin Chinade Reveals One Of The Ways Ekweremadu Can Regain Freedom

It is no longer news that the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice Ekweremadu, and his Doctor, Obinna Obeta bagged jail term for Organ Harvesting. While Ekweremadu bagged 9 years, 8 months jail term, his wife bagged 4 years, 6 months jail term while his Doctor bagged 10 years jail term.

Nigerian politicians have been looking for ways to appeal the judgment, and reacting to his imprisonment, the Retired Diplomat, Ambassador Jibrin Chinade has spoken extensively on the Organ Harvesting case during an interview that was aired live on Arise News.

Jibrin Chinade said one of the options available for Ekweremadu is appealing to the new King of England, King Charles III who recently assumed office to seek for mercy. He however said it will be a bit too early if such approach is used, due to the fact that he just assumed office and needs time to settle down.

Speaking further, Jibrin Chinade said African leaders, Commonwealth leaders, and international diplomats should also come out to ensure that they appeal the case in favour of Ekweremadu.

In his words, he said in parts:

"One of the options is appealing to the new king to seek for mercy. That may be a little bit too early due to the fact that he is just assuming office."
