Osun State Government under the governorship of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has started fresh round of recruitment into the popularly known Western Nigeria Security Network nick named Amotekun Corps in the state.
You would remeber that Mr. Amitolu Shittu who happens to be the Field commander of the said Corps, had declared on June 2020 that 13,000 applicants had put in for the recruitment. And ever since then, no further development or improvement was heard concerning the recruitment exercise.
But in a statement that was signed by the Secretary of Amotekun Board, Mr. Hassan Agbelekale, which was titled ‘Recruitment into Amotekun Corps’, said that the government would start recruitment of worthy and qualified candidates into the corps in Osun.
He was reported to have passed on at the age of 53, according to Daily Nigerian on Twitter.
Mr Sulaiman Aliyu died in the early hours of Tuesday, 06 April, 202 at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna State after a short illness.
The deceased who had recently won his case at the Court of Appeal which made him to become both the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and also the elected winner of the February 23, 2019 House of Representatives in the election for Lere Federal Constituency.
