Angry Mob Beats Corps To Death In Nigeria

Angry voters on Saturday beat a corps member to death in Abuja for voting multiple times using his thumbprint on many ballot papers for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, in the ongoing general elections.

The corps member who was serving as the ad-hoc staff member for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was caught on Saturday.

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Chief Ralphs Nwosu, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission not to compromise its integrity on the general elections.

He made the call in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja.

The Nigeria Police Force said it has observed the spreading or circulation of alleged/fake election results on social media and other news platforms, which is contrary to the policy and guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission, The PUNCH reports.

The spokesperson for the NPF, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed in a statement on Sunday.


INEC To Cancel Result Of Polling Unit In Kwara Over Ballot Box Snatching

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Kwara State, Attahiru Madami, says the Tsaragi Polling Unit 10 result would be cancelled following a case of ballot box snatching by hoodlums on Saturday.

Tsaragi is in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
