In a meeting with the Rivers State Executive council, the Governor said “let me use this opportunity to express the dismay of many Nigerians to the senate, so you convey this to the senate, you see we must be courageous in life, in whatever we are doing, everything must not be party affairs.”
You people said that they should dismiss service chiefs, you said they are not performing, now the same people who did not perform, you cleared them as ambassadors, and what kind of country are we”.
He added that ”in anything we do, we must remember that there is tomorrow: our conscience is clear, not because I want to be a loyalist to a party, there are things you can reconcile”.
The confirmation of the ex-service chiefs for ambassadorial appointment by the Nigerian senate is really disappointing; it shows the poor level of accountability in this country.
