2 Statements Chiwetalu Agu Should Consider Retracting Before Listening To Those Asking Him To Run

But there seems to be one stumbling block should he decide to listen to the voice of the people. In his last interview, he made two statements that could cost him if he doesn't retract. We would be looking at the two statements which could cost Chiwetalu Agu should he decide to listen to those asking him to contest.

1. Nigeria has not done anything for the Igbos:

Chiwetalu Agu should consider retracting his statement about the Igbos being unjustly treated by Nigeria before listening to the voices calling on him to contest as a governor in Enugu state. In terms of election in Nigeria, but the issue of an Igbo man not getting a chance to become a president is based on the vote of the people, both at primary and secondary levels.

Chiwetalu Agu needs to know that for one to contest for any position under the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he should not speak ill about that country. Many prominent Igbos are working in government and private firms.

Some are bossing in their respective firms, so the claim that the Igbo haven't benefited from Nigeria since its independence shouldn't be tied down to just the seat of the president. There should also be an overall check regarding who runs the affairs of the nation, business-wise in Nigeria. The likes of Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson Motors and Allen Onyeama of Air peace would disagree with Chiwetalu Agu's claim.

2. Nigeria need to divide:

Like the saying goes; "He who is not for me is against me". Chiwetalu Agu may not be able to contest under the Federal Republic of Nigeria as he is already championing the course of secessionists, a call considered as an offence by the Nigerian government.

Before considering the request of those asking him to contest, he may need to retract the statement he made about Nigeria's division; else he may be considered as a man not fit to run. He needs to champion the course of our founding fathers, which is; to build a nation where peace and justice reign.
