President Buhari has promised to tackle the issue of insecurity in Nigeria before 2023

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised that he will not leave office as a failed president.

Buhari said that his administration would address the issue of insecurity in Nigeria before 2023.

President Buhari said this on Thursday at a meeting of the National Council on Security at the White House.

Heads of security agencies attended the meeting and provided updates on security operations across the country.

After the meeting, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno, addressed The State House Correspondents, saying that Buhari has expressed his determination to make more changes in the country's security architecture if necessary.

According to Monguna, the President said that he will continue to change the security architecture until he is satisfied with the results.

Monguna also stated that Boko Haram members are surrendering in large numbers in the North-East.

He continued his speech by saying he had never heard such a large number of people leaving the terrorist camp.

He also praised the security agencies for their relentless activity.

Can President Buhari achieve this before 2023?
