Gold is an important mineral resources in Nigeria and Nigeria is really blessed with it due to its high value.
As high valued as it is, gold is located in 9 states in Nigeria, namely Kebbi, Edo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto, Oyo, Niger, Kwara and Abuja.
2. Iron Ore:
Iron Ore is another large mineral resource with about 3 billion metric tonnes that is managed by the country or should I say owned by the country Nigeria.
Iron Ore is located in states like Enugu, Niger and the FCT while It's largely found in Itakpe, Kogi.
I know a lot of Nigerians has not heard about Gypsum. Well, Gypsum is a great mineral resource used in Nigeria when it comes to building and construction.
It is mostly used in the production of Plaster of Paris (POP), cement, chalk and other products.
It is located in Kogi, Gombe, Delta, Edo and a few others.
Lead is located in states as Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Kano, Niger, Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Abia, Taraba and Plateau.
Nigeria owns about 10 million tonnes of zinc across the country.
It is located in states as Bauchi, Plateau and Kaduna l.
These gemstones are one of the valued resources in the country, gemstones include aquamarine, sapphire, ruby, emerald, topaz, garnet, zircon and so on.
Well, I can say that Nigeria is really blessed, graced, lucky and fortunate to own all this natural mineral resources including Oil.
