I Want To Marry From Sen Akpabio's Village So That He Will Call Me "My In-law" -Man (See Reactions)

Marriage is a good thing and when you are married to the person that adds value to your life, it's a double blessing. However, marrying someone from a rich and powerful family (Politicians and millionaire businessmen) seem to be a trend in our society today. Many people believe that when you marry from such a family, you would be respected and given preferential treatment.

As a matter of fact, the Bible says that whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favour from God. It is not a bad idea to hook up with rich kids and build a serious relationship that will eventually lead to marriage. The truth is, whether you are married from a wealthy family or not, marriage is a sacred institution that God has blessed and ordained.

However, mingling with the rich and affluence in our society is the desire of most people. It may interest you to know that such people do everything possible to get closer to them. This is the case of a Facebook user identified as Saviour Udoh who wish to marry a woman from Essien Udim (Ukana), the hometown of a former governor of Akwa Ibom State (May 29, 2007, to 2015), a one time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Senate's Minority Leader, Godswill Obot Akpabio. He is now the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Commission.

In Nigeria today, Senator Akpabio is one of the leading force and voice of the people of Niger Delta Region. He performed satisfactorily when he was the governor of Akwa Ibom State and his legacies are there to speak for themselves. He has contributed immensely to the development of the state and Nigeria at large.

Akpabio remains the most popular and influential governor during his time as a governor. It could be recalled that he was chairman of the PDP governors forum during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. He recently completed the magnificent edifice of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) office space in Port Harcourt.

This was made possible through the support given to the ministry by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Having said that, Saviour who happens to be of the same ethnic group (Annang) with the former Senate Minority Leader, wish to be called “In-law” by the Minister. His post generated a lot of reactions from his friends on social media. See his post below and what people are saying about his proposed plans to marry from Essien Udim.
