Convention: We’ve gone beyond Secondus – PDP
Ahead of the October 31 national elective convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the contact and mobilization sub-committee has said that the suspended national chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus is no longer an issue as the PDP prepares to reposition itself for the 2023 general elections.

Gov. Akeredolu presents N191.6 billion budget for 2022
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo Tuesday presented a fiscal proposal of N191.6 billion for 2022 to the State House of Assembly.

Represented by the Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa, Mr Akeredolu said the budget was an increase of 9.59 per cent over that of 2021.
Tagged “Budget of Economic Re-Engineering”, the 2022 budget has a recurrent profile of N112.017 billion and capital expenditure of N79.621 billion.

3 Killed, Buildings Destroyed In Tanker Explosion In Rivers
No fewer than three persons lost their lives while several buildings were destroyed when a fuel-laden truck exploded along the Port Harcourt-Owerri Road in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State on Tuesday.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the incident occurred when the vehicle, which was heading towards Imo State was hit by another tanker at Omerelu axis of the road leading to an explosion.
An eyewitness, who pleaded for anonymity, told our correspondent that the incident occurred when members of the taskforce stopped the vehicle in order to extort from the driver.
