Opinion: 3 politicians that May Need To Use The 2023 Race To Reinvent Their Political Career

In the game of politics, you win some and lose some, the most important thing is to achieve that permanent interest why you are involved in the game.

The terrain of Nigerian politics is a very competitive one, only those that are dogged enough stay in the game for a very long period, the tactical ones find a way to maintain their status at the top.

The 2023 race is dominating the political settings despite being a few years ahead, those familiar with the world of politics know that solid work must have been done underneath before coming out to make known to the public the intention of getting involved in the race.

Whether contesting or not, the political gladiators with influence will have to pitch their tent with one of the candidates in the race to become the next occupant of Aso Rock.

The 2023 race could be a rare opportunity for the following politicians to reinvent their political careers.

1. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole: A labour leader who moved to politics several years ago is a well-known figure in the political arena in the country, he was the governor of Edo State for eight years and the former national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), his battle of supremacy with his former godson, Governor Godwin Obaseki, turns out not to be favorable to his side.

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole still weighs considerable political influence within and outside Edo State, the 2023 race could be an opportunity to reinvent his political career if he gets it right by backing the candidate that will emerge as the winner of the race to Aso Rock.

2. Senator Bukola Saraki: He is a very tactical politician who has played the game at the highest level. He was the governor of Kwara State and the 13th Senate president, it takes some political acumen to occupy these positions.

The Saraki dynasty had a tough outing in the last general election conducted in the country, the year 2023 could be a good year to launch a comeback. Senator Bukola Saraki is well qualified to aim for the highest political office in the country, only time can tell if he will get involved in the race.

3. Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso: He is a politician that has a formidable political structure in the 44 Local Governments in Kano state and has several supporters in the northern states of the country.

The tussle between him and his successor, Governor Umar Ganduje, has been a very interesting one.

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso can reinvent his political career come 2023 by aligning his political influence with the right candidate or becoming one of the candidates to participate in the race.
