Hafsatu Ahmadu Bello is the first wife of the Premier of the North, Sir Ahmadu Bello. She got married to Sardauna in 1932. She is the daughter of the Mallam Abbas, the Waziri of Sokoto. And she was killed alongside the Premier on January 15, 1966 during the first military coup in Nigeria.

It seems the quote “Till death do us part” is a very serious vow of marriage, and she kept to it as a dutiful wife must. When she and her husband, Sir Ahmadu Bello faced their last moments together. Her famous last words to the Sardauna were “No you can't die, you won't die”.
