It's no longer a news, that there is no limit to the number of terms Law-Makers can serve, either State or National Assembly as long as they continue to win Election. It is of note, that by 2023, the duo of Senators Ike Ekweremadu and James Manager would have spent 20years as Members of the Nigerian. Here are the profiles of the Longest Serving Senators
1. Senator Ike Ekweremadu (PDP, Enugu West)
The 58years-old, Ekweremadu, is a Lawmaker, representing Enugu West Senatorial District at the Senate under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He is a Fifth-term Senator who came into the Red Chamber in 2003 after serving as a Council Chairman, Chief of Staff to the Governor and Secretary to the Enugu State Government. In 2007, Ekweremadu emerged as Deputy Senate President and held the position for Three Consecutive Terms of Twelve Years (2007 - 2019).
2. Senator James Manager (PDP, Delta South)
The 60years-old James Manager is also a Fifth-term Senator, representing Delta South Senatorial District at the Senate. He began his political career as Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, serving from 1991 to 1992, he was subsequently appointed as Commissioner for Social Development, a position he held until 1993. He was the Pioneer Chairman of the PDP in Delta State, Prior to his Election into the National Assembly in 2003. James Manager was the Delta State Commissioner for Works and Transport.
