1. Akanbi Mahmoud Oniyangi
Akanbi Mahmoud Oniyangi ,1930 – 17 January 2006, was a Nigerian politician and former Minister for commerce and Defense during the aborted second republic. He was born in Kwara State and was educated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was a lawyer and Community leader before entering politics.
2. Audu Innocent Ogbeh
Audu Innocent Ogbeh, born 28 July 1947, is a Nigerian politician who was chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from 2001 until January 2005. He is the former Minister of Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2015 - 2019. He studied at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
3. Halima Tayo Alao
Halima Tayo Alao, born 6 December 1956, is a Nigerian architect and former Minister of Environment and Housing during President Umaru Yar'Adua's administration.She earned an MSc in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Salamatu Hussaini Suleiman is a Nigerian lawyer who currently serves as the ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security. Prior to this, she was appointed Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development in December 2008. 6. Samuel Ioraer Ortom
Samuel Ioraer Ortom is a Nigerian philanthropist, businessman, politician and administrator. He was a Minister of State Trade and Investments in Nigeria during the presidency of Goodluck Jonathan. Ortom was elected governor of Benue State as a member of the All Progressives Congress in 2015. He was re-elected as governors on 29 May 2019.He enrolled at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and obtained both the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Certificate and Diploma in Journalism.
7. Shettima Mustafa
Shettima Mustafa OFR, born 26 November 1939, is a Nigerian academic and politician who served as Minister of Agriculture (1990–1992), and in 2007 was appointed Minister of Defense in the cabinet of President Umaru Yar'Adua. Later he became Minister of the Interior. He left office in March 2010 when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan dissolved his cabinet.He studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
8. Shamsuddeen Usman
Shamsuddeen Usman, CON, born 18 September 1949 Kano, Nigeria, is a Nigerian economist and banker. He is currently the CEO of SUSMAN & Associates, an economic, financial and management consulting firm headquartered in Nigeria. Shamsuddeen was the Minister of National Planning between January 2009 to September 2013. He was also the Finance Minister of Nigeria between June 2007 and January 2009. He gained a BSc. in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.
Rilwanu Lukman, 26 August 1938 – 21 July 2014, was a Nigerian engineer who held several ministerial positions in the Nigerian Federal government before becoming Secretary General of OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2000. He died on 21 July 2014. On 18 December 2008, Lukman was appointed Minister of Petroleum Resources by Nigerian president Umaru Yar'Adua, holding office until March 2010.He trained as a mining engineer at the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, Zaria (now Ahmadu Bello University).
Magaji Muhammed, 31 December 1940–April 2017, headed the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs until the June 2006 when he resigned to pursue a gubernatorial ambition, and he was succeeded by Oluyemi Adeniji. He is also a former Minister of Industries.He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as the Pioneer set of students of the university, where he earned a BA Degree in Administration.
11. Hajia Maryam Inna Ciroma
Hajia Maryam Inna Ciroma , born September 1954, was appointed Nigerian minister of Women Affairs in July 2005 by President Olusegun Obasanjo. She was replaced by Saudatu Bungudu when President Umaru Yar'Adua swore in his cabinet in July 2007.She attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, graduating in 1978 with a degree in Political Science, and later obtained a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration.
12. Mohammed Bello Adoke
Mohammed Bello Adoke, born 1 September 1963, is a Nigerian lawyer. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and was appointed Attorney General of Nigeria and Minister of Justice on 6 April 2010, when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan announced his new cabinet.He gained a degree in law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
13. Jerry Gana
Jerry Gana, a Nigerian scholar, politician and one time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1983 then Director for the Directorate of Food, Roads and Infrastructure (DFRRI).He was the director of the Mass Mobilization for Social Justice and Economic Recovery, popularly known as MAMSER under Ibrahim Babangida, then Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, in the Interim National Government under Ernest Shonekan.Later he became Minister of Information and Culture under General Sani Abacha, then Minister of Corporation and Integration in Africa under Olusegun Obasanjo as well as being Minister of Information and national Orientation. He also served as Political Adviser to Olusegun Obasanjo, before announcing plans to run for president in June 2006.Gana went to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and graduated with a B.A. (Hons) degree (Upper Division) in Geography.
14.Ibrahim Isa Bio
Ibrahim Isa Bio, born April 1957, was appointed by President Umaru Yar'Adua as Nigeria's Minister of Transportation on 17 December 2008. After Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan became acting President in February 2010, he dissolved the cabinet on 17 March 2010, and swore in a new cabinet on 6 April 2010 with Ibrahim Bio as Minister for the National Sports Commission.He obtained a Pharmacy degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
