I Promise To Lead Nigeria To Greatness - Tinubu

The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday morning entered into a social contract with Nigerians to provide a leadership that will lead the country to greater heights.

He said his presidency will provide the much-needed impetus that will make the country achieve its dreams.

In his acceptance speech titled: “the Era of Renewed Hope” hours after he was declared winner of the February 25 Presidential election by the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Mahmood, the APC flag bearer said he was humbled by his election and accepted to serve the country to the best of his ability.


29 Dead In Greece Train Collision

At least 29 people were killed as a freight train collided with a passenger train in central Greece on Tuesday night, state broadcaster ERT has reported.

The report cited a fire brigade spokesperson, with many people still believed to be trapped under the debris.

At least 85 people were injured, some of them seriously, the spokesperson said, adding that the search for further victims continued.


PDP Rejects Presidential Election Results In Sokoto

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State has rejected the results of the just concluded presidential election, citing the disenfranchisement of over 400,000 persons in the state.

The party also called on the security agencies, especially the Nigerian Police Force in the state to immediately arrest suspected hoodlums who attack polling units in the state during the just conducted presidential election in the state.


LP Consoles Families Over Deaths Of Relations In Benin City

The leadership of the Labour Party (LP), in Edo, on Tuesday in Benin condoled with the families of two voters in the state who lost their lives during the last Presidential and National Assembly, election.

The party advised that electoral violence should be discouraged from Nigeria’s electoral system.

The victims were Festus Idahosa, 33 years old, and Mrs. Elizabeth Owie, a 43-year-old mother of three children.


Gov Abubakar Sani Bello Congratulates Tinubu

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to congratulate the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his Vice, Senator Kashim Shetima and all other National Assembly Members elected under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC )in the last Saturday’s elections.

Governor Sani Bello, in a statement, described the victory as ‘the dawn of a renewed hope’ to Nigerians.

He observed that the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections were keenly contested and highly competitive
