Buhari Approves New Selection Process.
Recently, President Buhari approved the process to select 5 "permanent secretaries" to replace the retired ones in some states across the country (Ekiti, Katsina, Nasarawa, Enugu and Lagos States).

Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan (Head of the Civil Service of the Federation) disclosed this information in a statement released in Abuja by Mr AbdulGaniyu Aminu (Director of Press and Public Relations, office of the HOCSF).
According to Yemi-Esan, 47 candidates have been cleared to sit for a written examination to fill the five vacant positions of those permanent secretaries.
Tukur Buratai Reacts Over Attahiru's Death.
Recently, Tukur Buratai (Former Chief of Army Staff and Ambassador Designate to the Republic of Benin) expressed shock over the sudden death of Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru (The Chief of Army Staff) and his aides in the plane crash which occurred on Friday.

Buratai in a statement he personally signed sympathized and condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari and the families of the deceased.
He said that the late officers gave their lives in the line of duty while on patriotic service to the nation.
Buratai said the late COAS had served under him and he was well grounded for the job.
Ayade And PDP Leaders Clash Over Party Secretariat Building In "Cross River" State
The "Cross River" State Government has explained that the secretariat formerly occupied by PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) in the State is a rented property that was renewed recently by the State Governor, Ben Ayade.

DAILY POST reported that following the defection of the Governor from PDP to APC, the secretariat was on Saturday taken over by Ayade’s new party.
The secretariat which is situated at "42 Murtala Mohamed Highway", was renovated on Saturday as some men were seen painting and cresting the building with APC colours, logo and flags.
However, in a statement released by Christian Ita (Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Governor Ayade), the state government insisted that the property belongs to the governor.
NSCDC Arrests Another Truck Driver For vandalism In Kwara State.
Recently, NSCDC (The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps) in Kwara state arrested a truck driver, Abdullahi Gbadamosi for damaging some part of the newly constructed road while conveying a full lorry-load of cement at Alagbado area.
