Another Court stops APC revalidation exercise in Rivers

The crisis in the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is far from over as more aggrieved members of the party have resorted to frustrating the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise of the party in the state.

This time, a Rivers State High Court has ordered the immediate discontinuation of the ongoing membership revalidation and registration exercise by the All Progressives Congress in the State.

The order was given by Justice O. Ben-Whyte in a fresh suit filed by Obulor Messiah and Oha Mgbechikwere.

Delivering judgement in the suit filed by Messiah and Mgbechikwere, the presiding Judge, Justice O. Ben-Whyte, granted an Experte Order restraining the APC, Mai Mala-Buni the National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Isaac Ogbobula, from taking further steps to conduct membership registration exercise in Rivers state.

The Court ordered that nothing should be dond pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction.

The court also ordered that, "the originating processes and all other processes be served on the Defendants/Respondents at at the Respondent’s Secretariat at N0. 63 Aba road Port Harcourt."

The matter is adjourned to February 25, 2021 for motion for Interlocutory injunction.
