Algeria is a country in North Africa. Everyone knows that Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with a population over 200 million but people hardly talk about Algeria's population.
Try to locate Algeria and Nigeria on the map.Even though Nigeria population (estimated 206,139,589 people is more than four times the population of Algeria( 43,851,044 people) but how ever Algeria is doing well than some other countries in Africa.
In terms of landmass Algeria (2,381,741 km square) is more than twice the size of Nigeria ( 923,768 km square). My intention is not to compare the two countries, I’m only trying to give an idea how big the country’s landmass.
Algeria is noted to be Africa's largest country, covering an area of nearly 2.4 million km², which is 4 times the size of France when compared and slightly less than 3.5 times the size of the U.S. State of Texas. But the country is almost only saturated and populated in the small coastal region majorly as a result of its southern part being covered by the Sahara which is the largest subtropical hot desert.
