The Minister of State, Labor and Employment, Festus Keyamo reacted to the unsubstantiated reports that Special Public Work recruitment slots were given to the APC leaders to distribute to the party members nationwide.
Festus Keyamo denies giving any order to the APC leaders to allot slots of the Special Public Work recruitment program that is meant to provide more jobs to the unemployed average Nigerian.
" I have Not directed that forms from the SPW be distributed to APC Wars leaders to give to party members. Any such loss will be discountenanced. THESE IS NOT AN APC PROGRAMME but a program FOR ALL NIGERIANS. We shall ONLY accept final lists from the State Selection Committee."
The government has commenced the enlistment of jobless Nigerians for the work scheme, which is planned for employing 774,000. The program will enlist 1000 people per local government. More candidates will be recruited in three months, depending on the success of the project.
