Nigerian singer, Portable has used his most recent Instagram post to reveal why he declined the request to perform at the presidential inauguration on May 29. He disclosed that he deliberately snubbed the inauguration performance because the organizers offered to give him 5 million naira out of the 10 million naira he was meant to receive.
He made it known that he was the one who first sang for Tinubu during the campaign period, saying that a lot of people insulted him for doing so on social media. He stated that it is not possible for the organizers to take a whopping 5 million naira out of the 10 million he was meant to receive, saying that after all, he is the one that will perform at the show and not the organizers.
In the statement he made in the video, he said, "I was the first musician to sing for Tinubu during the campaign period, and people insulted me on social media. I snubbed the inauguration performance because they wanted to give me 5 million out of 10 million. It is not possible, because I'm the artist who will sing at the event."
