As the 2023 Imo state governorship election draws nearer, the available indication has shown that two former governors who are still eligible to contest for the 2023 Imo state governorship election may become governors of Imo state once again in 2023.
1. Ikedi Ohakim
Ikedi Ohakim is one of the popular names in Imo state politics. he is one the Influential politician in Imo state that defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress ahead of 2023.
He is one of the former governors that still stand a better chance of becoming the next governor of Imo state because he still has the Constitutional right to contest for the governorship seat in Imo state because he served for only one term in office.
2. Emeka IhediohaEmeka Ihedioha is also one of the former governors of Imo state that is still eligible to contest for the 2023 Imo state governorship election, based on the fact that he was removed from office as the Executive Governor of Imo state by the Supreme Court of Nigeria which declared the APC candidate as the authentic winner of the 2019 Imo governorship election.
