During the presidential election on the 25th of February, a woman identified as Jennifer Efidi was attacked by thugs at her polling centre, but it did not discourage her from casting her vote after treatment. Despite she was injured with a swollen face and blood streaming down her cheek, she came back to vote after receiving treatment.

According to report, the woman casted her vote in the Surulere , Lagos state. The woman said "That she was so happy to vote on the day of the presidential election, but when she was attacked, she developed a high blood pressure". She said after receiving treatment, she came back and joined the queue until it got to her turn.
