The 2021 Anambra State gubernatorial election which has been scheduled to take place on November 6, 2021, is fast approaching and it's barely 15 days from now. Most political parties have been moving around all local governments in the state canvassing votes for their candidates. However, among the aspirants, there are two leading contenders who may likely emerge victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll and they are;
1. Professor Charles Soludo.(Image Credit: Google)
After the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Charles Soludo, won the governorship primary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) some months back, we've seen him on television boasting to sway away the votes of the people of Anambra. This is because he had previously lost his bid to govern the state on two different occasions and this time around, he seems to have learnt from his mistake and ready to use his chance in the forthcoming election due to the incumbency factor.(Image Credit: Google)
APGA has been governing Anambra state since 2006 and also with his fame and popularity in the state due to his background about finance and economics, he has an added advantage because people will vote someone they know can strengthen the economy of the state.
2. Valentine Ozigbo.(Image Credit: Google)
On the other hand, Valentine Ozigbo also seems to be the right person who would win the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra, due to the fact that Valentine Ozigbo is the candidate for People Democratic Party (PDP). PDP happens to be the major opposition party in the state and any slight mistake made by APGA, it might cost them a loss in the election because people like Peter Obi and other political leaders in PDP have been looking for a way to take back Anambra state.
