After much calling and clamouring for the change of the Nigerian service chiefs for a long time, and just recently, few weeks back, Buhari responded to the calk of Nigerians by removing the old security service chiefs and replacing them with new ones.
Although, a lot of reactions came from Nigerians as regards that, some commending the president, while others still criticising him on ethnic backgrounds.
The recent development of the service chiefs has been their nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari as ambassadors of the country. This sparked a lot of controversial reactions from a lit of Nigerians. As some said that Buhari is doing it to grant them diplomatic immunity, so that one of them, which is the Ex Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai, could not be tried by the International Criminal Court (ICC), for being allegedly responaibke for the killings of end SARS protesters at the Lekki toll in October, 2020.
Recently, former senator from Kogi state, Dino Melaye has taken to his twitter handle to speak about the nominations of ex service chiefs by Buhari as ambassadors.
The former senator said that its the same senate that recommended the removal of the service chiefs for failure and gross incompetence, that will be a screen them as ambassadors, noting that people are watching and history recording.
Do you think that the senate would endorse the new service chiefs as ambassadors as nominated by Buhari?
