Remember Nelson Mandela's Daughter Who Died This Year Due Of Covid-19? Today Is Her Birthday.

Zindziswa Mandela, also known as Zindzi Mandela-Hlongwane, was a South African diplomat and poet and the daughter of anti- apartheid activists and politicians Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. She was born on 23th December 1960, Soweto, South Africa and she died on 13th July 2020, Johannesburg, South Africa, the cause of her death was as a result of COVID-19.

Early Life.

Zindzi Mandela was born on 23rd December 1960 in Soweto, South Africa to Nelson and Winnie Mandela. Zindzi Mandela early life wasn't easy as during her childhood her parents were wanted by the government.

When she was 18 months old her father Nelson Mandela was sent to prison, During her youth she was often left in the care of her older sister Zenani Mandela when her mother was imprisoned for months at a time.

Nevertheless despite having a tough and rough background, Zindzi Mandela grew up to become an international figure as she was Ambassador to Denmark from South Africa, First Lady of South Africa from 1996.

Zindzi Mandela died on 13th July 2020 at a hospital in Johannesburg at the age of 59. It was revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 on the day of her death.
