1) Muhammadu Buhari is current president of Nigeria and the Commander-In-Chief Of the Armed Forces. He has been in seat from 2015 to date.

2) He was born on the 17th day of December 1942, making him currently 78 years old.

3) The name of his father is Mallam Hardo Amadu and his mother is Zulaihat.

4) Being the 23rd child of his father, his father died when he was 4 years old and so he was raised by his mother.

5) Throughout his lifetime he has been married to two wives, Safinatu Yusuf and Aisha Halilu. It is however to be noted that he divorced Safinatu Yusuf in the year 1988 and he got married to Aisha Halilu in 1989.

6) He was once a military head of state after a coup d'etat. He served from 1983 to 1985.

7) He is a retired Major General of the Nigerian army.

8) He and current wife, Aisha Buhari, have five children and a grandchild. But it should also be noted that he had five children from Safinatu Yusuf.

9) In 1977, he was the Military Secretary at the Supreme Military Headquarters, which was a seat in government.

10) In 2003, 2007 and 2011 he ran for presidency and he lost in those three years before he finally won in 2015 against the incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan.
