In an exclusive interview with Daily Post in Gusau, the state capital, the leader of the group, Alhaji Mai buhu Gumi lamented that there were deep cracks on the walls that the leadership of the party has failed to amend.

Bola Tinubu To Unveil Shettima In Abuja

The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has rescheduled the presentation of his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, for Wednesday.

The development is coming nine days after the national leader of the party picked the former governor of Borno State as vice presidential candidate.

Shettima will be officially unveiled by 1.00pm at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

The Tinubu Campaign Organisation on Tuesday says the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, deserves commendation for settling for former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, as his running mate.

This was disclosed in a statement in Abuja by the TCO Director of Media and Communication, Bayo Onanuga.

Onanuga, who noted that he has keenly followed the heated debate that the choice of Shettima has generated in the country, restated that religion or ethnicity was far from the calculations of Tinubu in picking him as running mate.


Seven People Killed In Kogi Sallah Crashes - FRSC

The Kogi command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says seven persons died and 43 people injured in 14 crashes during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Stephen Dawulung, the sector commander, disclosed this on Tuesday, noting that 45 people escaped unhurt.

According to him, 90 per cent of the crashes occurred due to speed violations.


Senate Suspends Plenary Over Lawmakers Death

The Senate on Tuesday suspended plenary over the recent death of Rep. Jude Ise-Idehen, a lawmaker representing Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency in Edo.

Until his death, Ise-Idehen was a member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Senate, on resumption from its two-week recess, adjourned the plenary to July 20, 2022, to honour the deceased, who died on July 1, at the age of 52.
