There is a discussion presently ongoing on twitter concerning where Ikorodu axis really belongs to, between Lagos state and Ogun state. This argument or discussion did not just start today, it has existed for a long time, more than anyone could even remember.
Some twitter users are of the opinion that Ikorodu is not part of Lagos state, that it is only close to the border between Ogun and Lagos state, and should not be regarded as one of the towns or places in Lagos state. They even went further to advice the government of Ogun state to reclaim Ikorodu and take it completely from Lagos state.
Other users who tried defending Lagos state’s ownership of Ikorodu axis, are of the opinion that Ikorodu is actually on the land of Lagos state, that it is the border between Ogun and Lagos state doesn’t mean it does not belong to Lagos state, and that those who don’t know history should stop spreading lies.
What do you think? Do you think Ikorodu is a part of Lagos or Ogun state?
