Another Prominent Nigerian Politician Passes Away At 82

A prominent Kano politician, Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero is dead. Death is inevitable, it comes at an unexpected time and it doesn't respect age or status. A lot of great people have lost their lives in Nigeria this new year. 

Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero, a former National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman, died in Kano on Thursday January 7, 2021.

Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero died at the age of 82. He left behind two wives and eight children. May God comfort his family, friends and colleagues and grant his soul eternal rest.

Confirming his death to newsmen, a family source who spoke to Igbere TV on condition of anonymity said Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero passes away in the state on Thursday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after battling with a brief illness. Although the nature of his sickness remained unknown.

The demise of Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero was also confirmed by the president Muhammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. He described him as a renowned politician in Kano state and a true supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero was a great leader and bridge builder that was loved by young and old.

His death has been described as a great loss to the APC family in Kano State.

According to a close friend, the burial of the politician will be held according to Islamic rights on Friday. He will be buried after Jumat service at the Emir's palace.

We have no option than to accept death as one of the characteristics of a living being. If humans have the ability to detect when death will come knocking, maybe some people wouldn't have died. Life sometimes looks empty and worthless to the living when they remember that an entity as death exist. But nature is something we can't cheat, humans can't question God's authority so we ought to accept life the way it is. May God grant his soul eternal rest, Amen.
