"APC Supporters In SE Couldn't Go To Their Unit, They Were Afraid Of Being Killed" - APC Chieftain

According to Hon. Ginika Tor, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu State, APC supporters in the South East were denied voting rights. The Nation said that Tor said governing party supporters were too terrified to vote at their unit because they might be assassinated if they went there.

She voiced her dismay at the harassment that party members faced during the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25 and mentioned that some people were ordered not to vote for anyone but Peter Obi.

She further asserted that certain clergy were influencing the voting behavior of their congregations by telling members who to support.

"In the state of Enugu, some voters wouldn't even look me in the eye. Several of the soldiers were so terrified that they were unable to even report to their battalion. Many homes were destroyed. That's how seriously the Labour Party took this election."
