2023: Why Ortom Might Be Right About His National cake-sharing Comment

Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom might be right about his National cake-sharing comment. Speaking to reporters in Makurdi, which is the Benue State capital Samuel Ortom, according to reports from the punch had said that some Nigerians have a particular mindset that if you zone a position to their place they may have the opportunity of getting their share of the cake. An ideal which to him is driven by the marginalization of people and also the level of poverty among the people, but he agrees that that zoning is good.

Furthermore the Governor, also said Nigerians are not and should not be concerned about, the geopolitical zone where the next President will come from in 2023. He believes Nigerians according to him, are clamoring for the country to be led by competent hands.

The governor went on further to highlight that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party is always ready to yield to the demand of Nigerians. He stressed that the party would always process a good leader to turn around the fortunes of the country and improve their living condition.

The Biggest question now is Why Ortom Might Be Right About His National cake-sharing Comment

In all fairness, Nigerians when it comes to electing politicians into office are are always looking for their share of the national cake. Which sometimes comes through political appointments, every Nigerian believes if they have someone from their side in office it would, in turn, get them political lucrative jobs, will bring development to that area.

Nigerians thoroughly need to abolish this idea which is not helping anyone at all, yes the economy is not where it sure be but that should not deter them from voting into office creditable and competent leaders.

How many times have leaders been brought into office yet their people still complain that they ain't been favored, the elections are by the corner and the national cake sharing mentality needs to be abolished once and for all.
