A member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the upcoming 2023 presidential election, Mary Ikoku, has addressed the allegations and falsehoods surrounding the president-elect, Bola Tinubu. Ikoku asserts that numerous lies have been spread about Tinubu, aiming to tarnish his reputation.
One specific claim Ikoku highlights is the assertion that Tinubu's daughter is 62 years old, while Tinubu himself claims to be 71. To counter this, Ikoku shares her personal experience, explaining that she recently met one of Tinubu's daughter's classmates during a visit to North London. According to Ikoku, this encounter disproves the notion that Tinubu's daughter could be 62 years old.
Ikoku goes on to reveal that approximately 16 years ago, she attended secondary school in Nigeria with a woman named Nina, who also attended the same school as Tinubu's daughter in North London. It was during their time in North London that Ikoku, Tinubu's daughter, and Nina reunited. By recounting this shared experience, Ikoku aims to present her belief that Tinubu's daughter is of the same age as herself.
