President Buhari Reveals 2 Lessons He Learned From His Travel To Kigali Genocide Burial Ground.

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria paid a visit to the burial ground where over 250,000 Kigali genocide victims were buried and a Memorial was held in honour of all the slain victims.

President Buhari used the opportunity to pay tribute to the victims and also prayed for the survivors.

President Buhari said that he went through all the experiences from January 15th to date when he was a Governor, Minister and Head Of State and even went through detention. He said that he fought about a 30-month civil war where they killed over a million off themselves and acknowledged that Nigeria passed through similar difficult times.

He also prayed that no one else would have to endure such a painful experience again, and prayed that the atrocities, wickedness, and hatred will never be experienced by anyone because of differences in religion, ethnicity, and beliefs.

President Muhammadu Buhari also said that Nigeria is committed to preventing such atrocities and that the perpetrators will be held accountable.

He then took to his official Twitter account to say that he learned two lessons from his visit to Kigali.

He said that he learned that Nigerians must learn to be tolerant of one another.

He also said he learned that we have a responsibility to preserve our history from the Nigeria Civil War.
