The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami is trending on various social media platforms after a news was released by Independent newspaper Nigeria. Dr Isa was alleged to be working with Boko Haram. The allegation is a huge one considering his position in the country. Many people have reacted to the allegation. One of which was an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on media, Bashir Ahmed. Below is what Bashir Ahmed twitted;
"You have just endorsed a fake report without verifying. As a media outlet @NewsWireNGR you know exactly how to verify such reports, but no, you are here pushing a false and dangerous narrative to your thousands of followers. FYI @DrIsaPantami has never been on any US watchlist."
In the allegation, there was no fact giving that link the Minister with Boko Haram. The Minister is a man whose idealogy is very different with Boko Haram idealogy. Bashir Ahmed was not happy with the newspaper releasing a news that is yet to be confirmed.
