Breaking: court nullifies Olisah Metuh's imprisonment, orders fresh trial.

An Appeal court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory has nullified the Former People Democratic Party (PDP)'s public secretary, Olisah Metuh's imprisonment term.

The former PDP public secretary was arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC) on seven-count charges bordering on money laundering for allegedly receiving N400 million from the office of the national security adviser.

Metuh was pronounced guilty of the offense and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment on the 20th of January, 2020.

An appeal court which conducted a sitting today in Abuja has nullified the imprisonment term and ordered a fresh trial for the defendant.

The judge, Okon Abang, of a federal high court in Abuja, exhibited bias in the case of the former PDP spokesman and pronounced nullification of the former PDP public secretary, Olisah Metuh's imprisonment term and ordered a fresh trail.
