The reason why that of Edo gained more prominence and was found more interesting was because of the dramas that characterized the elections, the main political gladiators in the race who have exchanged battlefields and the battle to oust an incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki.
However, a new drama drama erupted yesterday, when the flag bearer of the All progressives congress in person of pastor Osagie ize-iyamu was accused of stealing the SIMPLE agenda with which he is vying for the governorship seat .
The accusation which was made by the convener of the Midwest movement Dr. Pedro Obaseki, said the SIMPLE agenda belonged to him and that he unveiled it in a live TV on BENTV UK in the year 2016,when he was a governorship aspirant and the full meaning of the agenda was social security and welfare, Infrastructural development and urban renewal, manpower development and training, public private partnership, leadership by example and employment for Edo youths.
He further stressed his point when he said that's exactly what the APC aspirant and his cohorts have been peddling as their own agenda, in preparation for the September 19 governorship elections.
He also vowed to get back his intellectual property from ize-iyamu and followers, although it wasn't exactly clear if he was going to court on the issue.
While contacted the APC didn't have an answer yet to the allegations.
