The Director General of the Next Level Movement For David Lyon, Tonbra Ekiotenne, has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bayelsa State, to carry its female membership along in the decision making of the party.
Ms Tonbra, in a statement personally signed by her on Wednesday, said the APC family isn't made up of men alone, but it is made up of capable women as well.
"But when it comes to allowing the women folk into the decision making scene, its like a brickwall is setup to barricade us out.
"Its disheartening especially when I know women have so much to contribute to the transformation of our nation," she said.
The DG Next Level Movement For David Lyon, urged the state party leadership to stop relegating them to "Women Leader and Women Affairs Portfolios."
"We can also hold other offices in our party and do very well," she said.
