The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed June 18 as the day for the election for the people to elect their prefered candidates.
Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, three important factors might likely determine who wins the governorship election in the agrarian state.
1. The Popularity of the candidate :
Going by past elections, most of the winners emerge as Governors based on their popularity among the people of the state. Ayodele Peter Fayose and the incumbent Governor, Kayode Fayemi emerged as Governors because they are well known to the people. The electorate will likely vote for a candidate whose popularity is top-notch.
