The party made the appeal at the meeting with stakeholders of the PDP in Adamawa, the state capital, where Fintiri highlighted the achievements of his administration.


Zulum Spends Night In Damasak, Says Boko Haram Killed 18

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, says 18 residents were killed and 21 others injured when Boko Haram insurgents attacked Damasak town.

He confirmed the figures from residents who witnessed the attack and saw several properties destroyed when he visited the town, the governor’s media aide, Isa Gusau, said in a statement on Friday.

The governor who was in Damasak on Thursday and spent the night had interactions with soldiers and others security forces involved in the counter-insurgency operations in the town.


Arms Probe: Defence Ministry Has Questions To Answer

A Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria has said all questions related to the ongoing probe on procurement of arms by the National Assembly should be directed to the Ministry of Defence, and not the immediate past Service Chiefs.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, the Convener of the coalition and president, Good Governance Advocacy Initiative, Mustapha Tijani, urged Nigerians to disregard the allegation of misappropriation of arms funds against former Service Chiefs.

NDDC Is Broke- Akpabio



The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has said the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is broke and needs better funding to carry out its duties.

Speaking at the NDDC capacity building workshop held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, Akpabio said the commission needs to be better funded to improve service delivery in the Niger Delta region

He said in order for the commission to fulfill its mandate to the Niger Delta people, the NNDC must tackle the issue of bribery and corruption.
