Following the unexpected coup led by Col Mendy Doumbowya in a military attempt to overthrow President Alpha Conde, the African Union has taken precautionary measures to suspend Guinea from African Union organization.
The coup which took place was said to redress and correct the ongoing mismanagement and corruption in the civillan administration.
Consequently, President Alpha Conde was being overthrown by a group of military soldiers led by Col Mendy.
Due to the bad image presented by the junta, the regional leaders as well as the African Union, and other entities and corporate bodies have condemned the coup as "unconstitutional"
According to a statement disclosed by BBC reporters in line with the unexpected coup, ECOWAS had suspended Guinea on Wednesday.
And a meeting has been convened in Conakry for regional ministers to gather and discuss with the junta about a constitutional order.
But, instead of chaos, the citizens have applauded the military leaders and took to the streets of the capital, Conakry, to celebrate the revolution.
