The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has spoken concerning the needed vital steps for the liberation and development of his people in the South East. Speaking on Channels TV while hosting an event for the South East in Imo State, Uzodinma explained why the South East geopolitical zone needs the federal government.
Addressing the topic, Governor Uzodinma said, "Nigeria is a federation and Imo State is a federating unit." Therefore, our destiny must be in our hands. We must determine it, define it, and identify it. The reality at the moment is that the APC is in charge of 22 out of the 36 states in Nigeria, including Abuja. Also, the high poverty level has made our people vulnerable, and we need a command and control center. We need to develop our place and empower our people. However, the bitter truth is that we can not afford these on our own.
He continued, "The South East needs the FG more than the FG needs us." We will contest elections and vote for our presidential, senatorial, governorship, and legislative candidates. We will make it 5/5. We must do what is necessary for our progress. These conspiracies and distractions they are attempting to create will not work. Eyes on the ball
