Some moments ago, a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), George Agbakahi, was granted an interview on Arise News where he spoke about the decisions of Atiku and Peter Obi regarding the outcome of the presidential election.
Mr. George Agbakahi said, "the election has come and gone. What we now need is the support of the opposition parties. Those going to court (Peter Obi and Atiku) are not advised not to but they need to join the APC. They need to know that we can only have one (1) president at a time. They should join forces with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build Nigeria because it is the only country we have."
He added, "they also need to show tremendous patriotism. George Bush showed patriotism by calling his opponent when he contested many years ago. Hillary Clinton also congratulated Donald Trump. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar should do the same."
Speaking further, George Agbakahi said, "if you notice, the president elect has been magnanimous. He reached out to members of the opposition parties after being declared winner. He is a true Democrat."
Again, George Agbakahi said, "we all know that the elections were held under the lens of the entire world. It is the most competitive election in the history of Nigeria's election. Just like in every election all over the world, there are mis-reactions after election result is announced."
