The governor of Imo state, senator Hope Uzodinma has reacted to the insecurity at Izombe community in Oguta L.G. He went further to give new directives to the military agents on how to maintain Peace and order.
The Governor took to his Facebook page to reveal how he surveyed the place aftermaths of the unrest that erupted in Izombe Community.
The governor tweeted saying;
"In the past few days we have experienced unrest at Izombe community in Oguta Local Government Imo state.
"This is as a result of the attacks launched by bandits on security formation whose duty post posed a hindrance to their operation.
"While it remains the duty of the states government to ensure security of live and properties, criminality in any form will it be condoned.
"Also, illegal oil bunkering remains a national economic sabotage which I would not grant an enabling environment to thrive irrespective of who is involved.
"I have therefore, directed an immediate inquest in the activities leading to the unrest in other to unravel the circumstances that gave rise to this.
"I offer my sincere condolence to the families that have lost loved ones and properties to this ugly situation.
"I assure of government's commitments in getting to the root of the matter and ensure justice is served where necessary.
Let us give our able governor to opportunity to achieve this success.
