EFCC Invites PDP Cheiftain For Interrogation
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ‘invited’ the former past governor of Kwara, Abdulfatah Ahmed, for further questioning.
This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the anti graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren on Monday.
Me Wilson did not disclose further information in regards to the invitation.
Recall, in December 2020, the commission extended an invitation to him to clarify specific transactions and decisions he made while in office.
This will be the second time the ex governor has been invited by the commission since he left office in 2019.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has disclosed that the federal Government is doing everything within their power to put an end to Nigeria’s security challenges and doing all it can to restore peace in every part of the country.
Lai Mohammed, stated this on Monday when he received the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR, Muktar Sirajo, and other members of the Governing Council of the body in Abuja.
He urged the institute, as stakeholders on national issues, to speak out against those who desire to break up the country.
He added, “Without security, there will be no development and that’s why this administration is doing it's best to ensure that peace and security is restored across the country."
He also encouraged the organization to help the government in their fight against fake news, saying the NIPR needs to punish it's members fond of throwing professional ethics to the wind for pecuniary gains.
