In a time such as this in the history of Nigeria when our peaceful coexistence and unity as a country is under threat and look as though we have come to the end of living as one Nigeria, President Buhari in his statement on Saturday during the Passing Out Parade for Cadets of 68 Regular Course (Army, Navy and Airforce) in Kaduna State, send a message to all Nigerians that is needed for us to grow as a country.

President Buhari during the event noted that for us to achieve a peaceful coexistence as a country that will attract foreign investors, we must be law abiding, committed and also be promoters of peaceful coexistence. "I must emphasize here that for us to achieve a peaceful, prosperous and democratic country that will attract foreign investors, we must be law abiding, committed and promoters of peaceful coexistence. This is a collective responsibility which will definitely yield the Nigeria of our dreams," he said.

The message by the president no matter how short and simple it may look like is a very important message that came at a time when the peaceful coexistence of the country is under threat and Nigerians are in need of something that will make them believe that we are still one. Looking at what is happening in some parts of the country today, especially the issue of insecurity, agitations by different groups and so on, it will be hard for investors to come into the country to invest. So for the president to preached the message of peaceful coexistence shows that he still believes in our unity as a country.
Nigerians should take the message very serious. We need to forget about everything that is happening in the country and work to ensure that the country's unity is secured and its democracy stands. The goal of achieving a better Nigeria is not just the duty of the president or that of our political elites alone, but the responsibility of all Nigerians, like president Buhari said during his statement.
