Today's Headlines: Buhari Is An Igbo Man Iwuanyanwu; Tinubu’ll Be Fair To All–Dayo Adeyeye

Buhari Is An Igbo Man – Iwuanyanwu

Two Nigerian political figures have made headlines today. The first is Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who has referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as an Igbo man and member of the socio-cultural organization.

Speaking at an event in Imo State, Iwuanyanwu called on Buhari to ensure the success of a dredging project before leaving office on May 29. He also praised the President for completing projects across the Southeast.

Tinubu’ll Be Fair To All–Dayo

Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of South-West Agenda for Asiwaju, Dayo Adeyeye, has assured Nigerians that President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will not marginalize any part of the country, regardless of how they voted.

Adeyeye stated that Tinubu met the constitutional requirements for the presidency and had a wide spread of support throughout the country. He emphasized that even those in areas where Tinubu did not meet the requirements have nothing to fear in his administration.

In summary, Iwuanyanwu's comments suggest a level of acceptance for Buhari among the Igbo people, while Adeyeye's comments seek to assure Nigerians of Tinubu's fairness and inclusivity. Both comments could be interpreted as attempts to unify the country, which has been divided along ethnic and political lines in recent times.
