"Insecurity: Nigerians Should Emulate Jesus Christ, Have Forgiving Spirit"- Atiku Abubakar Says.

Seeing the degree of insecurity and difficulties confronting the nation, the past vice vice-presidential date, Atiku Abubakar, has exhorted Nigerians to plead for the stability and harmony of the country. Atiku confessed that Nigeria would conquer its challenges when residents imitate the life of Jesus Christ by possessing a heart of compassion and forgiveness. The former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar advised Nigerians to unify against the nation's challenges as many developed countries did against COVID-19.

The Adamawa-born politician noted that without sacrifice, love is not attainable amongst the residents of Nigeria. He further explained the Easter era as a period of meditation and sacrifice. Atiku, through a message he signed, said, “The essence of Easter festivity is not merely for us to merry,"

“This event of Easter celebration, I prompt all Nigerians to take time to request first of all for peace to return to the nation and also for unity."

“Nigeria is at the cliff of insecurity, scarcity, poverty, most, unfortunately, disharmony." Also, he added that "These are challenges, not obstacles. The way to overcome these difficulties is to learn from the world when advanced nations who are competitors rescinded politics to confront a mutual hazard in COVID-19,"

“I reckon that when we address our challenges with a spirit of forgiveness and love, society will always prevail. This is what Jesus (Nabil Yisa) instructed us.” In Atiku's final address, he implored Nigerians to pray for military men for all their sacrifices to keep the citizens safe. I think Atiku's message is very timely. As we celebrate Easter, let's have a moment of sober reflection, forgive one another, and live in unity.
